Néris-les-Bains, spa and tourist resort classified amongst the "Plus Beaux Détours de France" (touristic cities with an interesting heritage) is about a hundred kilometres from the Auvergne volcanoes. While visiting it, you will be delighted by its rich historical and architectural heritage nestled in a peaceful green setting.
In the heart of the city, take a walk in the thermal district to discover the thermal baths and spa Les Nériades, the theatre and the casino. Around it, you will see the "Belle-Époque" villas as well as the old Néris-les-Bains railway station, whose façade is classified as a Historic Monument. Take the opportunity to see the Gallo-Roman swimming pools that were once in water and the former Roman amphitheatre.
For a nature break, it is good to wander through the city's flowery parks or at the Cournauron lake, ideal for a walk and a picnic.
