Tourism / Discovery
Enjoy a relaxing stay in nature along the Nantes-Brest canal in Blain, 500 m from the shops and the town centre.
Visit the small marina, which hosts concerts and musical performances in summer. The Château de la Groulais, a National Heritage Site, is also worth discovering. Between May and September, the castle is home to a guinguette serving a menu based on stone- and brazier-grilled meats. Medieval events are organised throughout the year.
Many walking and cycling routes start from the campsite. Follow the Nantes-Brest canal to enjoy a section of EuroVelo 1, the Atlantic Coast Route.
The Gâvre forest, a unique national forest in Loire-Atlantique, is just 15 minutes away by bike. Stroll along the marked trails through 4,000 hectares of greenery. A picnic table is set up in the middle of this star-shaped forest. You may be lucky enough to hear the emblematic stag during the bellowing season in September. Outings are organised by the ‘Maison de la Forêt’ to spot one, with respect for the animal.
