Strategically located for exploring the Gorges du Tarn, the town of Massegros Causses Gorges is an ideal starting point for countless hikes. Follow breathtaking paths between rivers, cliffs and forests. Hike to the Point Sublime (870 metres altitude) and admire the relief carved out by the river, creating spectacular limestone cliffs. Looking for some thrills? Kayak or canoe down the Tarn! Listed as a World Heritage Site, the Gorges du Tarn have a lot to offer, from castles nestling between cliff faces to hamlets carved out of the rock! You might even spot a few species of vulture, including the Griffon vulture, which is relatively easy to spot. The region is famous for its sheep's milk cheeses, but is also a producer of all kinds of cheeses. After a busy day, try the Bleu de Massegros, matured just a few streets from the campsite!
