The village of L’Isle Jourdain, located 50 kilometers south of Poitiers, is considered to be one of the most beautiful places in the Vienne Valley.
The viaduct, situated a few minutes walk from the campsite, is the perfect place to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding nature. Vehicles are forbidden on the viaduct, allowing you to enjoy a pleasant walk 40 meters above the ground. There are also many activities available, such as bungee jumping, zip lines and many adventure courses.
A little further on, the Saint-Sylvain bridge invites you to discover the eponymous statue with its many legends. It is said he cured children suffering from nervous diseases and that he had fertility powers over married women.
