Tourism / Discovery
One of the most famous seaside resorts of the Landes, Mimizan welcomes you on its motorhome stopover, only 15 min walk from the beach and the shops.
With its 10 km of fine sandy beaches, many beaches of Mimizan are supervised from May to September:
Plage de la Garluche, easily accessible from the town center
Plage Nord, well-known from surfers and fishermen
Plage Sud, also appreciated by surfers and fishermen
Plage du Courant, perfect for families
Plage de Lespecier, considered to be the wildest beach in the Landes
With over 40 km of cycle paths and 10 km of mountain bike trails, cycling is certainly the best way to discover the town and its sights.
Follow the famous Vélodyssée cycling route for a ride through the pine forest.
Less than 10 km from the stopover area, you can reach the lake of Aureilhan. In an unspoilt and wild environment, many activities await you: swimming, fishing (carp, pike, eel…), standup paddle boarding, pedalo, sailing… Follow the « Promenade Fleurie » walking trail and observe over 300 plant species!
All the activities and natural riches of Mimizan-Plage have earned it the nickname of « Perle de la Côte d’Argent » (pearl of the Silver Coast). Enjoy this destination during your road trip along the Atlantic coast!
