Situated in Rivières, 25 km north-east of Angoulême, the campsite borders La Rochefoucauld-en-Angoumois, a small town classified amongst the “Plus Beaux Détours de France” in 2021. La Rochefoucauld-en-Angoumois has a rich heritage, as the monuments can testify. Among them, the Château de La Rochefoucauld is located 900m from the campsite and overlooks the town. The history of this edifice is inextricably linked with the one of the La Rochefoucauld family, which has owned it for over a thousand years. Also worth discovering are two emblematic monuments of the town, accessible all year round: the Gothic church of Saint-Cybard and the former Convent “Les Carmes”. Terra Aventura geocaching course and KWYS tour application available to discover the city. From the Place du Champ de Foire, at the castle’s foot: departure point for hiking and cycling tours.
