Tourism / Discovery
Condé-sur-Vire is particularly renowned for its dairy industry. The town is located in the middle of the Manche department, 10 km south of Saint-Lô.
The Elle & Vire factory is based in this charming city: butter, crème fraîche and cheese are highly appreciated for their local origin in this wooded countryside. You will surely find the best dairy products here!
Join the station a few metres from the motorhome stopover and enjoy a ride on the Vélorail (railbike). Ride along the Vire from Condé-sur-Vire to Gourfaleur and appreciate this unique activity with your friends and family.
Follow the Vire for about a kilometer to reach the outdoor activities centre. Open from May to September, this place offers many activities to enjoy a good time by the river: swimming, canoeing, standup paddle boarding. The Vire is also a lovely fishing spot (spread over 11 km) in the middle of nature.
The towpath of Condé-sur-Vire is a very pleasant walking and cycling path. You can admire contemporary artworks all along the way to Pont-Farcy. A little further on, discover the Roches de Ham, a 105-metre-high schiste cliff. Admire the breathtaking panorama at the top (beware of vertigo!).
A few monuments are worth a visit: the Saint-Martin church (oldest church in Condé) and the Arganchy and Bélinière manors.
