Tourism / Discovery
On the French-Belgian border, about ten kilometers from Dunkirk (France) and Panne (Belgium), Bray-Dunes is a seaside resort nestled in a pleasant natural setting with its large sandy beach, typical of the Opal Coast.
The beach of Bray-Dunes, bordered by the North Sea, is ideal for farniente, resting and swimming for the whole family. Enjoy the wide-open spaces with the beach and its charming little huts.
At low tide you can see wrecks lying on the beach, witnesses of the tumultuous past of the French coast. You can’t miss the sailing carts wandering along the large beach! A spectacle to be observed from afar, of, if you feel like it, to be discovered during an initiation course.
For a fun break, don’t leave without trying a typical coastal beer, accompanied by a cornet of chips.
Bray-Dunes does not only offer seaside activities. You can follow many hiking trails inland and discover the Dune Marchand nature reserve or the Perroquet Dune (5 km), one of the remarkable sites of the Flemish coast.
The Dunes of Flanders, Grand Site de France, offer 15 kilometers of fine sandy beach and more than 1 000 hectares of natural areas. An exceptional landscape with historical sites to be discovered on foot, by bike… on land or in the water…
