Tourism / Discovery
Seltz is a typical Alsatian village located 55 km north of Strasbourg.
The town offers a wide range of activities, beautiful walks in the centre through the half-timbered houses, hikes in nature and proximity to our German neighbours. A ferry is waiting for you 500 m from the town centre to take you across the Rhine. From there you can reach Europa-Park in one hour.
Seltz is part of the Delta de la Sauer National Nature Reserve: a protected site of outstanding ornithological, botanical and landscape value. It is an ideal playground for your walks and cycle rides.
Departing from Seltz, follow the Niederwald circuit and enjoy a beautiful and quiet stroll through the forest. It is also a stage of the « Rhin EV15 » cycle route which links the source of the Rhine from Andermatt to Rotterdam.
In addition to its environmental heritage, this border town also has a historical heritage to discover. Travel back in time and rediscover the history of the Romans, the Celts and other great civilisations by visiting the Krumacker Museum.
If you want to exercise, an outdoor centre located a few metres from the stopover area is open from 01/04 to 30/09. A lot of activities are offered: beach volleyball, football, boules, table tennis… Please note that swimming is prohibited. Nearby, other ponds offer fun activities such as inflatable structures and water slides.
