Tourism / Discovery
Welcome to Les Saisies, a magnificent mountain village in the heart of the Beaufortain massif, in the Savoie department (73). At an altitude of 1,650 metres, this village resort offers breathtaking scenery in summer and winter, and a multitude of activities for all ages. Whether you're a keen skier, a nature lover or just looking to relax, Les Saisies is the destination for you!
In winter, Les Saisies is transformed into a veritable paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. There are over 77 km of pistes, accessible to all. What's more, discover Nordic skiing on 120 km of dedicated cross-country trails, winding through snow-covered forests and breathtaking panoramas.
After a day on the slopes, take a stroll through the village centre, where you'll find typical Savoyard chalets, local craft shops and cosy restaurants. Take time to sample Savoyard specialities such as fondue, raclette and the famous Beaufort cheese, produced in the region.
Les Saisies is not just a winter destination. In summer, the village becomes a prime location for outdoor activities. Go hiking on the many signposted trails that lead to spectacular views of Mont Blanc and the flower-filled mountain pastures. Cyclists can venture out on winding roads and mountain bike trails in lush green surroundings. Are you a thrill-seeker? Take a paragliding flight over the resort and enjoy the breathtaking views.
Don't miss out on discovering the local heritage by visiting the mountain pasture farms where you can watch Beaufort, the king of Savoy cheeses, being made. The local markets also give you the opportunity to meet producers and discover other regional products such as charcuterie, honey and homemade jams.
Last but not least, Les Saisies is also a family destination with activities for the little ones, including amusement parks, dog-sleigh rides and tobogganing.
