Tourism / Discovery
On the wine route from Lyon to Burgundy, in the middle of the Beaujolais vineyards, Villié-Morgon welcomes you to its motorhome stopover ideally located in the centre of the village. Nestled in the heart of the largest wine-growing town in the Beaujolais (1 874 hectares, 1 100 of which are devoted to the Morgon PDO), this destination offers a wide range of activities combining gastronomy, oenology and strolls in the countryside.
With its 10 remarkable wines, its hills, its hamlets with stone houses, its welcoming winegrowers… the Beaujolais Wine Route will charm you.
Villié-Morgon is located on the hill of Py, which is appreciated for its panoramic view of the green surroundings. Beautiful hikes are to be discovered at the Mont Brouilly, the Roche de Solutré or in the forests of the Haut-Beaujolais.
In the village, visit the Fontcrenne castle, located on the site of an old medieval castle, which today houses the town hall and the Morgon wine cellar. Here you can taste the grand cru and stroll through the green park.
To fully appreciate the region, visit a wine grower for a tasting! Continue with a meal offering gastronomic specialities in one of the many Beaujolais restaurants or bistros.
