Tourism / Discovery
Saint-Gérons is a little Auvergne village in Cantal. It is nestled at an altitude of 480 m.
Several historical traces around Saint-Gérons are proof that the village was inhabited before the prehistoric era. There are also menhirs here from 3500 to 2000 BC.
The village is not only rich in terms of its heritage, but the nature too. The village borders Saint-Etienne-Cantalès lake and there are lots of activities to do around the town.
You can rent pedalos, jet skis, canoes, or electric boats and explore the lake. A 120 m Himalayan footbridge links Rénac to Espinet from the beach. It is a technical feat which also allows you to hop over the lake (and enjoy beautiful views).
