Virignin is located in the heart of the Bugey vineyards, in a countryside that is both quiet and offers a wide range of outdoor activities. The area is close to the marina, a great place on the banks of the Rhône.
As you walk through the village, you will see the 18th century decorations on the monuments: the church of Saint Blaise, the stone crosses, the manors and private castle which have kept their traditional architecture.
Take your bike and enjoy the ViaRhôna, a cycle route from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean sea. The Haut-Rhône offers a unique setting for your walks.
Visit the Pierre-Châtel gorge, one of the 5 listed natural sites in the Rhône-Alpes region. Its rocky cliffs run along the Rhône and form a natural border between the Ain and Savoie.
In the surroundings, magnificent villages are waiting for you, such as the City of Belley, which became the historical capital of Bugey thanks to its religious history, still inscribed in its architectural heritage.
