Stopped to visit old town
Didn’t stop overnight just parked here to visit the destroyed town. Looked ok for overnight

Overnight stop
Great aire, well-positioned for a visit to the village. A very thought provoking and emotional visit. It’s a pity people can’t use their eyes and see that there is an excellent recycling area immediately outside the aire which takes glass. Instead they leave bottles and jars in front of the rubbish bins. The toilets should be demolished.

Nice aire for a stop over and a visit to the old village, just a pity the toilet block is shut and again another place that they say has internet but hasn’t. We still enjoyed our visit as good as you can considering the history of the town.

Toilet no good
Parking area very good bit of a slope but toilet was disgusting blocked up and main toilet locked

Oradour-sur-Glane war memorial
Great place to stop to visit the village of slaughter during the 2nd world war, so sad. But, to the camp site, piles of bottles on the floor around the bins even though there was a collection of waste the day were there. Toilets discussing beyond belief and the ladies toilet was locked. Definitely there will be no return visit even if we were desperate. Feel ripped off as all the facilities were not available. I know if you are in a Motorhome you have the facilities on board. But come on.

Oradour sur glane
Rustige camperplaats, niet ver van het dorp en ook het verlaten dorp, lekker gegeten, enkel de wc is gesloten op de camperplaats en ook niet netjes

An OK site
Facilities need removing or upgrading. Still has overflowing refuse bins and bottles on the ground, although there are now recycling bins outside the site. But it is quiet at night and convenient for visiting Oradour.
