Small, pretty aire in the village on the bank of a small river.

This was a lovely site, set beside the river La Varennes, quiet walk into town. Not much here but there is a bistro. Church very festive. Stunning weir as so much water due to heavy rains. Perfect one night stop.

Lovely site beside the river only issue electricity failed on site about 8 pm. Workman came to site next morning and restored power. Would not stop us returning at a later date. While there a very large unit obviously over 9m arrived and took up a lot of space but this must be hard to check oversized units.

Jolie petite aire propre le long de la rivière et proche de la voie verte et du village. Il serait bien de mettre quelques palissades ou brises vues pour la tranquillité et l'intimité des riverains et des camping-caristes.

Riverside bliss
Small aire right on the river bank. Kingfishers. Possible to fish. Local dog barking consistently. Surprising amount of traffic noise from the road higher up, across the river. The walk to Carrefour is not as punishing as it looks but the store itself is not very good. The town has at least three boucheries/traiteurs, a kebab shop, a PMU. Not much else. The bar at the end of the road, by the bridge, looks promising but we didn't try it.
