Martigues is a French town in the Bouches-du-Rhône Department, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Martigues is a waterside town, between the sea and the lake. It is known as the Venice of Provence (it has lots of islands and bridges).
Don't miss the chance to walk around Martigues and take in its charm while admiring the Provincial scenery. Stroll along the waterside, especially in the fishermen's neighborhood near Saint-Sébastien canal. The colourful houses huddled along the waterfront are old 17th Century fishermen's houses.
- Sainte-Croix beach
- Berre Lake, Europe's biggest salt water lake
- Figuerolles Park
- Carro fishing Port
- The Madeleine Church (17th Century)
- Ziem Museum (archeology, contemporary art and impressionist paintings)
