This new label provides the guarantee of an effective organization in terms of reception, accommodation, entertainment and lots of activities. With this indisputable reference, the Aix-les-Bains station has been part of a continuing process of improvement and innovation.
The Aix-les-Bains/Lake Bourget nautical resort offers many aquatic sports: Sailing, windsurfing, catamaran, traditional boat, cruising, canoeing, rowing, water skiing, wakeboarding or kite surfing, diving and swimming. With nearly 1,500 mooring rings, Aix-les-Bains welcomes skippers and pontoons on the piers of the small and big ports where you can admire monohulls and catamarans. Renting boats without license and pedal boats is also possible.
"Au fil de l'eau":
Many cruise packages let you participate in a boat cruise for a one-hour or a whole day. That allows you to explore the Bourget Lake, Abbey Hautecombe, the Savières Canal and the Haut-Rhône.
The "Au fil de l'eau" is also a trail between the Grand Port and Brison St Innocent beach. It is a stroll along the waterfront combining land and pontoon rides.
The Regional Natural Park of the Bauges
The Massif des Bauges Nature Reserve is located in the Alps between Savoie and Haute-Savoie, surrounded by 4 gateway cities: Annecy, Chambéry, Albertville and Aix-les-Bains.
Considered as a true asset to the city, the Reserve has great natural resources. There you can see green meadows and forests and the purity of white wide snowy valleys and high peaks over 2200m (l’Arcalod). Visitors can find freedom in the largest Nordic Ski area of France, the Mont Revard, just 20 km from Aix-les-Bains.
In summer: On foot, by bicycle, or in the air
You shouldn't pass by Aix-les-Bains without a spin through the mountains!
Backpackers, young and old, athletes or walkers, are introduced to a hike within their reach. On Savoie Grand Revard, you can enjoy a 360° view of Mont Blanc, the Bauges Nature Reserve, the Meije and Les Ecrins.
Hikers can explore many paths at the Bauges mountain side or go on more demanding excursions going up peaks around 2000m high. In Chautagne, it’s possible to hike through vineyards.
You can also go mountain biking around the lake, mountains or hills in this fabulous place.
